Former US President Donald Trump on Sunday issued a chilling warning against his political rival Joe Biden, threatening to criminally prosecute him if he is elected to the White House.
Trump warned that Biden would see a very weaponized Department of Justice should he not receive immunity.
“With the Border Invasion and Afghanistan Surrender, alone, not to mention the Millions of dollars that went into his “pockets” with money from foreign countries, Joe would be ripe for Indictment,” Trump asserted, in reference to Biden’s chaotic foreign policies.
Trump went on to add that he would be attending an appeals court this week, where a hearing will be held on his immunity. Posting on Truth Social, the microblogging site, Trump said that there are enough issues and blunders committed by the Biden administration that “would be enough to earn him a criminal prosecution after his presidency.” Under Biden’s presidency, the United States executed a frantic and chaotic withdrawal from the Middle Eastern country of Afghanistan where the United States troops have had presence for over 20 years. Biden administration has also come under scrutiny for its funding of foreign wars and ignoring immigrant crisis at the southern border.
Ex US president, Trump, is facing charges stemming from four separate indictment including with a conspiracy to defraud US, and attempts to obstruct justice, as well efforts to overturn the 2020 elections. Trump has denied all the charges levied against him and has slammed the Biden administration of “political persecution.”
Trump rebukes Florida governor DeSantis
Former US President Donald Trump, on Saturday, also fired the sharpest rebuke yet against Florida governor, his biggest potential rival for the 2024 GOP nomination, Ron DeSantis. Trump, in a lengthy rant, chained that he endorsed DeSantis in the 2018 Florida governor’s race. The former Republican leader asserted that without his backing, DeSantis would have ended up working at a pizza place or a law firm.
Trump maintained that DeSantis would have been employed at a “pizza parlour place” without his support in the gubernatorial race in the year 2018. Trump, previously, had stated that DeSantis is a man “who hasn’t shown sufficient loyalty to the man who made him,” referring to himself.
“Ron came to me in desperate shape in 2017…when I endorsed him,” said Trump.
It was as though…a nuclear weapon went off,” Trump said on Truth Social. “When I hear [DeSantis] might run, I consider that very disloyal,” he maintained, condemning DeSantis’ decision of running in the 2024 contest.
