A Class 10 student in Jharkhand has died by suicide after her teacher allegedly slapped her for wearing a ‘bindi’ at school.
Police said a suicide note was recovered in which the student accused her teacher of torture. “We received information that a student has died by suicide. A suicide note has been recovered in which she alleged that she was tortured by a teacher in her school. FIR has been registered and the accused arrested. Further probe underway,” DSP Nisha Murmu of Baghmara, Dhanbad, said.
