India Women left out Renuka Singh, Richa Ghosh, Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Shikha Pandey as they named their ODI and T20I squads for the tour of Bangladesh.

In Richa’s absence, Uma Chetry earned a call-up for both series. The 20-year-old from Assam recently played for India A Women in the Emerging Asia Cup in Hong Kong.

Left-arm spinners Anusha Bareddy and Rashi Kanojiya earned maiden national call-ups and were included in both squads. Kerala all-rounder Minnu Mani was picked only for the T20I series.

Radha Yadav is another one of the major omissions after the left-arm spinner couldn’t find a place in either of the squads. Right-handed batter Priya Punia and left-arm fast bowler Monica Patel made a comeback to the national team.

Right-hander S Meghana and fast bowler Meghna Singh have been included in the main squad.

Back in May, players in both squads attended a conditioning camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). India Women are yet to have a full-time coach after Ramesh Powar was removed from his position. Former Indian batter Hrishikesh Kanitkar has been in charge of the team since Powar left.

India’s tour of Bangladesh starts with the three-match T20I series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. The ODI series will be played from July 16 to 22 at the same venue in Mirpur.
