Akshay Kumar Cancels Trailer Release Of OMG 2 In Wake Of Nitin Desai’s Death; Says, ‘This Is A Huge Loss’

Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi led ‘OMG 2’ is one of the most awaited films of 2023. The film is the sequel to the 2012 blockbuster ‘OMG- Oh My God’ and starred Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in lead roles.

The film’s official trailer was to be unvieled on August 2.

However, Superstar Akshay Kumar cancelled the trailer release of his upcoming movie OMG 2 in the wake of the demise of art director Nitin Desai’s death. The trailer of Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 will now be released on Thursday, August 3. It has been postponed following the demise of Nitin Desai.

The actor took the news to his Twitter and wrote, “Unbelievably sad to know about the demise of Nitin Desai. He was a stalwart in production design and such a big part of our cinema fraternity. He worked on so many of my films. this is a huge loss. Out of respect, we are not releasing the OMG 2 trailer today. Will launch it tomorrow at 11am. Om Shanti.”

After a gap of 11 years, the film’s sequel is ready to release on the big screen and will be witnessing a box office clash with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel led ‘Gadar 2.’

Yesterday, Akshay Kumar shared a glimpse of his upcoming film on Instagram and announced the release of the film’s trailer on August 2. While announcing the same, the actor thanked the audience for trusting the film’s team and revealed the trailer release date.

‘OMG 2’ is directed by Amit Rai and features Akshay Kumar in the avatar of Lord Shiva on Earth. The film also stars Yami Gautam as a focused lawyer and Arun Govil from ‘Ramayan.’ The film will hit theaters on August 11 and is produced by Cape of Good Films, Ashwin Varde, Vipul D Shah, and Rajesh Bahl.
