Arch-nemesis India and Pakistan played the shortest World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday. The high-octane clash lasted for only 73.2 overs as India have now thrashed their arch-rivals eight times.

बता दे कि, इस जीत के साथ टीम इंडिया प्वाइंट्स टेबल पर पहले स्थान पर पहुंच गई है। वहीं, पाकिस्तान टीम के हाथों में मायूसी लगी है। जबकि इस मुकाबले में हार के बाद पाकिस्तान टीम ही नहीं पाकिस्तान के फैंस भी सदमे में और इस मैच के खत्म होने के बाद सोशल मीडिया पर एक वीडियो वायरल हो रहा है जिसमें पाकिस्तानी फैन टीवी पर चाकू मार कर टीवी को फोड़ते हुए नजर आ रहा है।

The last shortest match was played on June 16, 2019, when both teams played just 90 overs at Old Trafford in Manchester. It was a rain-induced match and the DLS par score came into being.

The longest match was held during the 2011 ODI World Cup semifinals at the PCA stadium in Mohali, as the match went for 99.5 overs. The MS Dhoni-led side won the match by 29 runs qualified for the summit clash and defeated Sri Lanka.

India outplayed Pakistan in all departments

The Rohit Sharma-led side thrashed Pakistan by seven wickets. India won the toss and chose to field first where they skittled out Pakistan for 191 in 42.5 overs. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam scored a fifty and apart from Mohammed Rozwan scored a quickfire knock of 49 runs. Apart from them none of the batters showed any intent.

Indian bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Mohammed Siraj took two wickets each and then India chased down the target comfortably with 19.3 overs remaining.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant knock of 86 runs off 63 balls, which included six fours and six sixes. Shreyas Iyer too scored an unbeaten knock of 53 runs off 63 balls.

India will lock horns with Bangladesh on November 19 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. The Rohit Sharma-led side have remained unbeaten in their first three matches and will aim to continue the winning streak.
